Xcem Splint Post is a soft, flexible and unpolymerised glass fibre post which can be individually adapted to the shape of the root canal.

Method:

Prepare root canal conventionally for post up to coronal 2/3

Isolate tooth with dam.

Select and cut fibre to desired maximum length to prepared rc ensuring fibres extrude from opening to reinforce and form core. Place in root canal, add more strips and mould preferable by twisting. Ensure enough fibres extrude from rc opening for fabrication of core.

Acid etch and apply  bond root canal and opening of tooth. Light cure

Place dual cure cement and seat fibres and light cure. Add core build flow composite and build core which can be prepared for crown in normal way.
