Merge cem is a blue, resin modified glass ionomer for bonding orthodontic bands. It can also be used for the cementation of appliances retained with stainless steel crowns (ex: Herbst or expansion appliances).

The Paste Pak delivery saves time and reduces waste. It delivers consistent mixes every time, no matter the amount that the mix requires.
Its blue colour distinguishes the cement for easy clean-up and removal.
Merge cem  is available in self-curing and a dual-curing version.

Merge Cem Ortho

INDICATION:Merge Cem Ortho is a bonding cement for orthodontics, crown bridges and appliances to tooth surfaces.

CONTRAINDICATION:  In rare cases (delayed and long term) product may cause hypersensitivity or allergy in some people. If such reactions are experienced, discontinue use of the product and refer to physician.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:

Preparation of tooth:

Tooth should be polished with pumice and water.

Dry the tooth but do not desiccate.

Apply tooth conditioner and spread with air from syringe. (For bands they should be roughed by sand blasting as per manufactures instructions. Porcelain, zirconium appliance should be micro blasted and silated according to manufacturer’s instructions to enhance adhesion.

Apply paste mixed material to fitting surface of appliance and seat firmly on tooth.

Remove access at rubber stage. Protect adjacent tooth with smear of Vaseline.

Chemical cure product will set in 5-6 minutes.

Light cure material can be set on command for 30 seconds.

If brackets drift, then tack with 3-5 seconds of curing light (470nm)

CC material: 2x 2.5ml double barrel syringes with 10 mixing tips

LC material: 2x 2.5ml double barrel syringes with 10 mixing tips plus 10 intra-oral tips 

CAUTION:Mergebond contains acrylates and polyadycrylic acids and other acrylic monomers. In case of contact with skin/eyes, wash with plenty of water and use eye washer as necessary. Seek medical advice if necessary.

STORAGE:Always keep under dry conditions and away from direct sunlight.
