This is a Calcium hydroxide paste system.
Pulpix is radiopaque and ready to use.
Pulpix has calcium hydroxide and Hydroxyapatite,
polyethylene glycol and other agents which are supplementary.
INDICATION: Pulpix is required to apply during endodontic
therapy for temporary disinfectant dressing.
Pulpix is also required for deep caries lesions
management or indirect pulp capping.
AFTER EXPOSURE OF PULP IN CARIOUS DENTIN, DIRECT PULPCAPPING CAN BE DONE IN THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:
If the treatment of tooth cannot be done in one
appointment.
If the exposure area is larger than 1mm².
A complete dry field cannot be obtained.
If the tooth is causing discomfort.
If the pulp damage is irreversible, direct & indirect
pulp capping can be done.
If the patient has known allergy to any of the ingredient
listed above, do not use the product.
Pulpix may reduce the detrimental effect exerted on the
pulp-dentin complex by cements mixed with acids.
DIRECT & INDIRECT PULP CAPPING:
Dispense the small amount of paste onto the mixing pad
with the help of application tips provided.
Using a suitable instrument, apply the Pulpix in thin
layers and small patches to the exposed pulp or dentin near the pulp.
Finally, with a layer of cavity lining material, seal the
surface.
Contradiction observation is important.
CAUTIONS:
Pulpix contains calcium hydroxide and the contact with
calcium hydroxide with skin, eyes and mucous membrane may cause irritation and
burns.
If contact occurs wash immediately with plenty of water
or use eye-washer to wash eyes & seek medical advice if necessary.
STORAGE:
Store at normal room temperature, (12°C- 25°C/
53°F-84°F).
Do not use after expiry date.
