INDICATION: X-Temp LC is a light curing material for temporary filling and sealing.
Elastic nature in set material assures an easy removal, even in the case of
undercuts, finishing the cavity is not necessary. It can also be used as
temporary restorative material.
CONTRAINDICATION: In rare cases (delayed and long term)
product may cause hypersensitivity or allergy in some people. If such reactions
are experienced, discontinue use of the product and refer to physician.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE: Preparation, lining and impression is to be
carried out as usual. Rinse and dry the cavity.
Apply X-Temp LC into the cavity with a suitable instrument. (Round
condenser or spatula).
Cure for 20-40s (dependant on layer thickness) with a conventional
poly-merization device. For guidance 5mm deep layer is cured sufficiently in
40s. Increased exposure time is required when the light source cannot be brought
close enough to the material. Check occlusion, excess can be removed with a scalpel.
APPLICATION OF X-TEMP AS TEMPORARY RESTORATIVE
MATERIALS (SECONDARY USE):
Take the material out of
syringe and fill the prepared retentive cavity. Use the spatula or probe for
applying the material on the right place. Take care to fill from
base upwards avoiding any voids. Fill in increments of 3mm and light cure
before adding the next layer. If allergy occurs discontinue use and consult
your health professional.
REMOVAL OF A TEMPORARY FILLING: Insert the rigid
instrument into the temporary filling and extract it.
CAUTION: Adhesion to the dental
resin or linings (e.g. light curing materials) may occur. In such cases, apply
a suitable insulating agent. (e.g Glycerine, Vaseline) Avoid use of lining
material containing Eugenol because it will change the setting time of X-Temp
LC. Slight expansion of X-Temp LC ensures the tight seal of the temporary
restoration.
