Formulated from high quality raw
material Tempzoe has many good attributes for a reinforced
Zinc oxide/Eugenol cement.
The actual cement matrix of Tempzoe is reinforced by
acrylixpolymers, thus it is a strong cement, and therefore can be confidently
used as base for amalgam packing.
Surface treatment of the micro-fine zinc oxide particles allowsthe
powder to be conglomeration free and to be extremely compatible with Tempzoe
liquid. Consequently the pale yellow cement easily acquires a homogenous
mix with a reliable working time. Following manipulation it will set hard to
exhibit the high compressive strength useful in temporary dressing, crown
cementation, cavity lining and pulp capping. Additionally Tempzoe’s
low solubility in oral fluid means it is durable cement for temporary linings.
COMPLIES WITH ISO 3106.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE: Tempzoecement is a fine powder, which
tends to settle during storage or transit. Therefore, prior to use inverting
the container a few times should loosen the powder.
MIXING RATIO: For laboratory evaluation the cement’s optimal qualities are obtained
by mixing 0.3g of Tempzoepowder into 0.8ml of /Tempzoe
Liquid (approximately 3-4 drops from dispenser). However in general use, the
best ratio mix is obtainable by trial and error.
MIXING: Mixing should be done on a glass slab at 23°C or on apaper-mixing pad.
The powder is divided into four consecutively small portions, and then starting
with the smallest portions, they are mixes into the liquid so that mixing
should have a smooth non-tacky character.
APPLICATION: Following mixing, there are 2 clear minutes of working time(i.e.
whilst the cement’s appearance is glossy) and then another minute later it will
have set hard.
Tempzoe should not be used under resinous filling.
